Dr Vania Piludu
Chartered Psychologist in Marylebone
I am a chartered Clinical and Counselling psychologist, registered with the British Psychological Society (BPS) and with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC). My clinical experience began in 1997, and since then I have worked with adults, children and families in various settings including the Italian Mental Health and Social Systems, NHS and the private sector. I have worked with people with a broad range of emotional and psychological difficulties such as depression, anxiety, panic disorder, health problems, isolation, childhood abuse, trauma, loss and past and present relationship problems. I am able to offer both short and long-term counselling and psychotherapy, taking into account the nature of clients' concerns and needs.
I provide bespoke workshops for children, young people and professionals using person-centred, psychodynamic and cognitive behavioural psychotherapy (CBT) techniques. I am able to draw on my knowledge of psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural (CBT) and mindfulness approaches to help reduce psychological distress and to enhance psychological well-being.
I will work collaboratively with you to ascertain which way of working best suits your current needs. At the heart of my practice is a commitment to providing a safe, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can feel able to explore your difficulties in depth and where you can begin to increase your self-understanding in order to bring change and possibility.
